About Role

At Plenty, we are building out a team of talented engineers and technicians to tackle problems that reimagine the way humanity grows food. In this role, you will assemble electrical and mechanical components of our farms that our engineers have designed.

Type of Role

Project Based; Term - 30 days

What You'll Do

  • Assemble various parts of complex electrical and mechanical systems by routing wires, making electrical connections and fastening parts in place with various methods.

  • Inspect parts before assembly, compare parts to drawings and communicate defects to other team members.

  • Inspect completed assemblies and test them using processes developed for you or that you help develop.

  • Shift between different stages of an assembly process, carefully document and record progress, communicate when issues arise and proactively work to resolve issues

  • Work with the engineering team to ensure assembled units are tracked, validated, and deployed correctly

What We're Looking For

  • Someone with 2+ years work experience in a product assembly environment

  • Experience with torque tools, soldering, wire termination, PCBA handling and adhesive dispensing

  • Basic electrical circuit knowledge

  • Basic computer tool knowledge (calendars, word processing, spreadsheets)

  • Experience working in an R&D environment where engineers are directing assembly work

  • Someone who has worked in a product development team environment

Nice-to-have Skills

  • Experience in a clean manufacturing environment (semiconductor, medical, pharmaceutical or food processing).

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (assembling products that are regulated by the FCC, UL, FDA, etc).
