About Role

We are searching for a talented and dedicated technical individual to lead our cloud security and deployments. You should have a broad understanding of cloud technologies and best-practice security practices, and have a history of driving security innovation and working cross-functionally to set and achieve key goals. This is a self-motivating position, and you will have wide latitude to establish processes and implement needed tools, in conjunction with the security, IT, and Software Engineering teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Secure and harden cloud applications and infrastructure

  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure and maintain production AWS services

  • Utilize common security tools to assess security stance and vulnerabilities

  • Perform initial triage of security incidents, including intrusion, SIEM, and AV alerts

  • Review and recommend security applications and services to create and improve a best-in-class security infrastructure

  • Participate in security assessments of new applications and services

  • Create relevant documentation detailing procedures and controls

  • Maintain and update system documentation and diagrams as needed

  • Support and participate in other IT activities in conjunction with the IT team

  • Work closely with other internal Plenty teams, including the Software Engineering team, on assessing and securely deploying applications

What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in a security and/or cloud-focused role

  • Hands-on experience with AWS across a broad range of services, with specific knowledge of security and infrastructure-related technologies

  • Deep familiarity with common security tools, including nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, insightVM, SIEM platforms, etc.

  • Comfort with relevant programming languages and scripting

  • Hands-on experience securing and supporting Linux and Windows servers

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, and deployment technologies such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, etc.

  • Experience with core AWS technologies, including areas such as: 

    Organizations, Account Design, VPC, Subnet, segmentation strategies, IAM, RDS, Cloud Formation, Lambda, Backup & Disaster Recovery
  • Experience working under change management processes

  • Proven ability to successfully navigate and perform in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment, and effectively multi-task multiple priorities in a team-oriented setting

  • A track record of collaborating closely with various teams across the business, including software engineering, DevOps, etc.

  • Security certifications a plus

  • AWS Associate or Professional certifications a plus

  • Experience of automating processes and building tools

  • Experience working in regulated/audited environments (SOX, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Experience surcing common SaaS apps to best practices
