About Role

The Copywriter will support the internal marketing team at Plenty. This role will work under the Executive Creative Director and alongside a team that is responsible for elevating awareness and driving demand. Building strong, positive, and collaborative relationships with all team members is critical to this role. This role will be based in our Los Angeles, CA office.

What You'll Do 

  • Oversee creative projects from kick-off through to delivery.

  • Collaborate with larger cross-functional teams across projects and initiatives.

  • Translate Plenty’s narratives and brand tone of voice across multiple platforms while maintaining brand consistency throughout all our marketing projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with digital best practices and cultural trends. 

  • Push and evolve the Plenty brand to reflect our mission and tone of voice. 

  • Manage, evolve and boss our social media channels.

What We're Looking For

  • To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of short and long form copy and be savy at bring projects through from creation to completion. You are also an expert at writing for social and web. You are capable to switch pace with ease and move from larger more conceptual projects to writing headlines, to writing scripts, to articles and everything in between. 

  • You should also be extremely proactive, a self starter, entrepreneurial and tapped into cultural trends with experience executing marketing projects from conception to production, including brand identity work, websites, email, social and digital campaigns.

  • Our ideal candidate is driven by finding solutions to complex challenges and has the skills and ability to develop and maintain a consistent voice across the brand.  

  • We are looking for a Copywriter who is a craft-first creative collaborator / highly disciplined but also knows when to break the rules and doesn’t have an ego when it comes to what they work on. 

  • It’s important you are scrappy with a start up mentality and passionate about brand voice. You are also naturally a conceptual thinker with a focus on strategically sound ground breaking ideas. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge, experience, impeccable taste. 

  • No egos. 

  • 5+ years copywriting (agency & in-house a plus) with work that shows your writing chops and also how you bring collaborators alongside.

  • Outstanding portfolio demonstrating best-in-class advertising . 

  • Proven experience in advertising, marketing, and communications; ability to think both strategically and tactically, concept through execution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Must be resourceful and able to adapts quickly to changes.

  • BA/BS or relevant work experience.

  • Ability to build and lead design teams and lead design teams.
