Agronomy Technician

We are an ag-tech company looking for an Agronomy Technician who will assist in all aspects of indoor farming for the Plant Science team.  Your skills and training will be applied to plant production in a modern, fast paced, high-technology hydroponic research facility.

About Role

In this role you will be involved with our efforts aimed at optimizing all aspects of locally grown and packaged commercial produce using hydroponic indoor farming. Your role will include routine activities across a variety of stations, including plant handling, daily plant observations, harvesting, and collection of environmental and research data. 

What You'll Do

  • This will be a hands-on role where you will be seeding, transplanting, and harvesting crops

  • Perform routine end of shift daily cleaning of the lab, research equipment and work area

  • Work with high-intensity plant production equipment

  • Cleaning lab/plant materials and equipment

  • Work dynamically across a variety of teams and support multiple projects

  • Work Schedule: 2:00pm - 10:00pm MT *Must be flexible

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to practice safe work habits and follow lab protocols

  • Maintain high activity/productivity level

  • Operate with a sense of urgency, efficiency, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time

  • Can work in group or alone; oriented towards teamwork and the goals of the lab

  • Ability to effectively document tasks and observations accurately, experience with Google Suite preferred 

  • Maintains stable and professional performance under pressure or opposition

  • Ability to effectively take direction and implement changes quickly

  • Humble, teachable, team-player who is enthusiastic and hard-working

  • Flexibility to work weekends as scheduled 

  • Independent, analytical problem solving skills

  • Basic horticulture experience preferred
