About Role

If you are an experienced recruiter who is as passionate about people, plants, and the planet as you are about using your recruiting powers for a mission-driven organization, and you can have fun while you work hard, then this is the place for you. 
 
In this role, your first challenge will be to grow the Farm Operations and Farm Operations Strategy teams responsible for the success of our flagship farm in South San Francisco. You are a good match if you are inventive in how you approach targeted sourcing and you can find candidates who aren’t necessarily active on LinkedIn. You will be responsible for hiring a variety of farm-related team members including: Growers, Food Safety & Health Experts, Delivery Drivers, Sanitation Technicians, Production Associates, Maintenance Technicians, and Pest Management Specialists. 

What You'll Do

  • Manage high volume pipeline with candidates coming from multiple sources (agencies, sourcing, inbound), amongst all levels (from entry level to leadership), and across all classifications (contract, FTE, PTE)

  • Go fast and communicate often - things change rapidly around here so it's critical that you're in constant communication with your HM’s, stakeholders and candidates

  • Partner closely with agencies - negotiate contracts, enable their success and manage your pipeline

  • Juggle! Ensure balls stay in the air and that the candidate experience is stellar, even if one of those balls drops 

  • Influence and design effective interview practices internally, making sure to set up candidates and hiring teams for success through understanding and communications

  • Work really, really well with Finance, People Ops, Legal and other teams - think of them as your village, as in, it takes one to do this

What We're Looking For

  • 3-4+ years of direct recruiting experience (combo of agency and in-house), high volume and strategic sourcing techniques 

  • Creative thinker that can help bring new ideas to table and makes decisions based on intuition and data 

  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environment, you're creating a new world over here - exciting but daunting

  • Track record of being adaptable to changing priorities - things can change on a dime here and we can't miss a beet 

  • Great verbal and written communication skills  -  you're basically a modern Shakespeare

  • Organized user of an ATS for tracking, communication, and reporting - Greenhouse user a plus 
  • Passion for Plenty and the openness to do any job to get it done

  • Autonomous a team-player who is not afraid of breaking out in song, dance and a fun rap battle should the occasion arise (which it often does in our pod)
