About the role

Plenty is looking for an Office Coordinator to join our Farm Operations team. In this role, you will partner with the General Manager to ensure the successful execution of office and clerical support to ensure our farm runs effectively. Your skills and training will be applied in a new and innovative indoor vertical farming environment growing and harvesting strawberries! This role is located onsite in Chester, VA.

What you'll do

  • Support production scheduling
  • Assign and manage PPE inventory, badges and employee lockers
  • Ensure the completion of daily checklists, safety, operations, and sanitation logs, as well as tracking harvest performance
  • Ensure visitor policies and procedures are followed within the facility
  • Order office supplies, and snacks for the office
  • Maintain office organization and cleanliness
  • Maintain and enforce security protocol and the protection of Plenty assets
  • Ensure compliance to facility rules and regulations by Plenty team members and non-Plenty personnel
  • Receive, direct, and aid visitors, as well as conduct tours of the facility
  • Engage and represent Plenty in the community as needed
  • Other duties as assigned. Schedules will be reviewed periodically and are subject to change based on business needs. Willingness to assist in other areas as needed.

What you'll bring to the table

  • 2+ year of experience in a clerical or administrative function; manufacturing or food production industry experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset and willing to suggest changes to increase efficiency and quality
  • Proficient in Google Suite and MS Office applications
  • Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in produce freezer environments - as low as 32 degrees
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet
