About the role

The Office Manager - Facilities Support position at our Compton, CA location  will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their site-specific office and its various departments, as well as coordinating with the Office Managers and team members at Plenty’s other locations. This role serves as a touch point for organization, communication, and information within the company. The Office Manager must be able to integrate into every aspect of the office’s operations so as to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of their team members or redirect them to the appropriate source for information/help. The individual serving as Office Manager must be reliable and quick on their feet in order to pivot quickly with the rapidly changing needs of the company and its employees.

What you'll do

The duties of the Office Manager will be a combination of local office responsibilities at their home location and inter-office coordination. The Office Manager must not only be aware of the inner workings of their own location, but also of all Plenty locations.

Local Office Responsibilities

  • The individual serving as Office Manager must be able to manage their time effectively and maintain flexibility to meet the ever-changing needs of their team members and the company. The Office Manager’s duties within their office include but are not limited to the following:
  • Relaying important information or policy changes from upper management to their team members
  • Organizing and inventorying office, janitorial, and snack supplies, ordering more when needed.
  • Managing spend limits for the above
  • Providing general support to visitors/contractors who come into the office
  • Managing the Meeting Room calendars for their facility
  • Managing Porter Team activity in the facility
  • Assuring the facility is prepared for VIP meetings as they are scheduled, including:
  • Tasting area and supplies for VIP tastings
  • Meeting Room(s)
  • Tour area(s)
  • Reporting any missing equipment or supplies weekly
  • Managing lunch program for facility
  • Reporting to Senior Manager, Facilities in weekly one-on-one meetings
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating SOPs as needed
  • Assisting facility tech(s) in any minor repairs, as needed
  • Identifying and correcting any process inefficiencies within the facility
  • Maintaining office organization and cleanliness
  • Communicating and coordinating with Security to maintain and enforce security protocol and the protection of Plenty assets
  • Ensuring compliance to facility rules and regulations by Plenty team members and non-Plenty personnel
  • Coordinating with Plenty Outreach members to build relationships within/show up for the community
  • Occupying the front desk to receive, direct, and aid visitors
  • Maintaining an awareness and mental catalog of the functions within their home facility and arranging for maintenance/repairs when needed
  • Ensuring their facility’s safety features, additions, and permits are up-to code and meet the needs of Plenty’s team members
  • Being ready and willing to step up in case of emergency or project labor shortage
  • Supporting Facilities goals/projects/tasks in Compton
  • Monitoring internal and external Visitors and check against NP3 and Internal Travel Approvals to ensure proper processes have been followed
  • Performing minor facilities repairs, audits, and maintenance

Inter-Office Responsibilities

  • In addition to maintaining efficiency and coordination within their local office, the Office Manager must also coordinate with team members from Plenty’s other locations in order to support company functions and goals. The inter-office duties that the Office Manager is responsible for include but are not limited to the following:
  • Conducting cross-departmental communication, thereby mitigating the “siloing” of information/departments and maintaining consistency and alignment across the company
  • Ensuring Facility Practices in CPT are aligned across all sites

What you'll bring to the table

  • Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Experience in an administrative, customer service, retail, or other related role
  • Inventory Management Experience
  • Contracting/Maintenance Experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Food & Safety Requirements

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
  • All employees must show proof of COVID vaccination before starting work, other than in limited circumstances where the law requires an exception

  • Assist in the maintenance of Food Safety and Quality system
  • Responsible for making sure the methods and responsibility for the maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings shall be documented, planned and carried out in a manner that minimizes the risk of product, packaging or equipment contamination
