Collaboration continues Plenty’s Bay Area momentum following its brand debut at Outside Lands
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., August 23, 2018 — Plenty, the indoor farming company growing clean, healthy food for people not trucks, today announced its first-ever restaurant collaboration. Creator — home of the freshest burger ever made from start to finish with culinary robotics that is sourced from pasture-raised beef and locally farmed produce for just $6 — will be the first to serve Plenty greens.
Plenty Spring Mix will be featured in a branded salad specially prepared by Creator culinary lead David Bordow, formerly of Chez Panisse, beginning today. The news follows on the heels of the Bay Area debut of the Plenty brand two weekends ago at San Francisco’s Outside Lands music festival, where the company sampled its leafy greens to thousands of festival-goers and artists backstage.
“We were blown away by the Bay Area’s reception to our greens at Outside Lands and are excited to bring the community a new and very different format in which to experience Plenty,” said Tara Kriese, SVP of Marketing at Plenty. “Like Creator, Plenty endeavors to bring food of exceptional flavor and freshness that is cleaner than organic within as many people’s budgets as possible. That ethos alignment makes Creator a fantastic partner for us as we continue to expand the availability of Plenty greens in the Bay Area.”
Now available for $4 at Creator, the fantastically-fresh Plenty Mixed Greens salad features Plenty Spring Mix complemented by goat cheese and a Dijon-based vinaigrette dressing with banyuls and red wine vinegar. Plenty Spring Mix is locally-grown at the company’s South San Francisco indoor farm — located just ten miles away from Creator’s location in the SOMA neighborhood of San Francisco — and blends six unique lettuces in a combination of sweet and grassy flavor notes.
“Creator is all about providing flavorful, gourmet food made from the highest quality ingredients in ways that were not possible before,” said David Bordow, culinary lead at Creator. “Plenty’s hyper-local greens perfectly complement our burgers and Creator’s mission to serve our guests the most fresh and tasty meals possible.”
