About Role

We are looking for a Process Operations Manager to plan and coordinate process related trials and validation to help create the most efficient farms that the world has ever seen. In this role you will be collaborating with the broader process team, engineering team and Plant Science to own, optimize and troubleshoot process areas within the farm to help improve operational efficiency, minimize farm losses and increase plant yield. These combined goals will give Plenty’s produce global reach at an accessible price, leading to increased produce consumption and raising the quality of living around the world. You will be part of a passionate and dynamic team that is developing new technology from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and drive resolutions to out of control processes with hardware and subsystem owners
  • Drive process integration for new farms from initial design through launch and full farm validation
  • Manage trial and validation scheduling and production coordination across Plenty locations
    • Create and maintain a detailed plan and timeline for high priority validation trials
    • Ensure that treatments and operational modifications do not overlap or compromise data integrity 
    • Track and report production issues or unplanned events and track when and how they might present in yield and quality metrics 
  • Coordinate data collection for process related trials and validation activities in SSF and LA
    • Review and add input to data collection plans 
    • Manage resources to ensure thorough and consistent data collection 
    • Ensure data is analyzed and available in reliable and timely manner

What We're Looking For

  • BS  in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business, Operations or other relevant field and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Versatile system thinker with a proven track record of driving complex technical projects and cross-functional teams from start through to successful implementation
  • Experience in process engineering or similar work in biomedical, semiconductor, automotive manufacturing, plant breeding, or agriculture oriented industries
  • Exceptionally collaborative approach with strong communication skills
  • Preferred: MS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business, Operations or other relevant field

Food Safety Requirement

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations
  • Make sure Equipment design is of a material suitable for food safety and designed in a way that is smooth and easily cleanable
