About Role

We are looking for a Director of Technical Program Management that will lead deployment of Plenty’s farms, managing them through their end-to-end lifecycle to sustainably and reliably achieve targeted yields and output on schedule and at budget. This dynamic role will influence a highly technical team of nuanced subject matter experts in bringing Plenty’s innovative farms to life. This role will be a critical part of Plenty’s leadership helping drive core competencies and organizational capabilities in technical program management.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, manage and execute a successful new farm introduction and deployment strategy and roadmap to meet Plenty’s scaling needs.

  • Work cross functionally with leadership and teams from plant science, hardware, controls, software, process, farm data and quality engineering, operations, supply chain, finance and programs teams to execute the strategy from specifications definitions all the way through commissioning, ramp and farm hand-off.

  • Own and deliver program report-outs across stakeholders and executives.

  • Identify and drive both technical resource gaps and leveling across program technical functions.

  • Manage, lead and grow a team of Technical Program Managers, Project Engineers and Integration Managers responsible for launching Plenty’s next generation farms.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of work experience managing projects and/or programs involving large scale complex technical products that involves integrating hardware, systems and applied science technologies.

  • 5+ years managing and growing multi-disciplinary high performing teams.

  • Demonstrated experience in driving technical deep dives into design specifications across multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, industrial, controls, software engineering and applied science.

  • Experience driving broader strategy and roadmap with senior staff and executives.

  • BS in a technical discipline.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team to evangelize complex technical concepts

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working with global vendors, OEMs and CMs.

  • Advanced technical degree.
