Staff Technical Program Manager, Engineering

We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager, that will oversee Plenty Farm Deployment from concept through launch; including conceptualization, design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and turnover to customers. This role will focus on bringing Plenty’s farms to life, starting with site adaptations of our farm locations, infrastructure design through commissioning, hardware equipment design through commissioning and ramping plant processes to full scale yield and output. This role is extremely cross-functional where you will work closely with our construction, design engineering, controls, process and operations teams. As this role is closely tied to our farm deployment, this role will at times require traveling within the US.

What You'll Do
- Program Manage deployment of new farms from equipment install, commissioning through hand-off to operations.
Lead cross-functional teams across plant science, engineering, construction management, supply chain, strategy and finance to drive scope, schedule and cost of deployments.
- Within this framework, build comprehensive product specifications, taking input from other Engineering teams, Farm Operations, and Plant Science to ensure our farms infrastructure is designed with rigor.
Work closely with our manufacturing engineering team to ensure the automation equipment is performing at key metrics for quality, throughput and food safety. Drive proactive validation projects for key automation, as needed, prior to deployment.
Work closely with our process integration and yield engineering teams to ensure the farm is ramped across key cultivars and delivering at committed yield, quality and output.
Work effectively across stakeholders to proactively identify risks related to deployment of farms and continuously mitigate them.
- Own and deliver program report-outs across stakeholders and executives.
- Identify and drive both resource gaps and leveling across program functions.
- Lead and mentor junior project and program managers.
What We're Looking For
10 years managing projects and/or programs within technical fields.
Experience leading deployment and commissioning strategies as well as commissioning validation schemes.
Experience working with automation equipment and have good understanding around tie in points to controls, MES systems and process flows.
Appreciation for the art of managing evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for data driven decision making and experience in tracking risks/fidelity where data is being collected/sparse.
Experience managing vendors and third party designers.
BS in an engineering discipline, preferably Process, Manufacturing, or Controls.
Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
